These terms apply to the RampUp website at rampupmcat.com, the RampUp web app, and the RampUp iOS app (together, “RampUp”). By using RampUp you agree to them.
RampUp is independent study material for the MCAT: practice questions written by us, concept lessons, narrated explanations, timed practice exams, and an in-app tutor called Rampy.
RampUp is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). MCAT® is a registered trademark of the AAMC. Our questions are original and written to match the structure and level of the exam; they are not official AAMC items, and RampUp is not a substitute for official AAMC practice material.
RampUp is a study aid. It cannot promise you a particular score, and it does not guarantee admission to any programme or any other outcome. What it does offer is the RampUp 511+ Guarantee — a money-back commitment, described in section 5, that applies if you do the work and your official score comes in below 511.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use RampUp only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for any purchase.
RampUp is sold as a single auto-renewing subscription. There are no tiers and nothing is held back for a separate upgrade.

New subscribers are offered a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins automatically and the plan price is charged. The subscription then renews automatically at the same interval until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and may be shown in your local currency by the payment processor or app store.
Trial eligibility is determined by the payment provider, not by us. Apple allows one introductory offer per subscription group per Apple Account, and our payment processor applies its own equivalent rule. If you have used a RampUp free trial before, you may not be eligible for another, and the price will be charged immediately. RampUp shows you the terms that actually apply before you confirm.
If you subscribed on iPhone or iPad: manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Billing is handled by Apple, and refunds are requested from Apple, not from us. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund a period already paid for.
If you subscribed on the web: manage or cancel using the link in your payment receipt email, or by emailing us at the address below and we will cancel it for you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
If you cancel during the free trial you are not charged.
If something has gone wrong with a charge, email us. We would rather sort it out than have you dispute it.
The guarantee is simple: do the work in RampUp and score a 511 or above on your official MCAT — or we refund your subscription fees. A score below 511 is the only score that qualifies for a refund. This section is the entire fine print.
Doing the work means, before your official test: answering at least 1,000 questions in RampUp and completing both full-length practice exams. RampUp tracks both numbers for you (Settings shows your progress toward them). These thresholds are how we measure that RampUp was genuinely used — a claim without them is a claim the product never got a chance on.
Claiming: if you meet the conditions above, sit the official MCAT, and your score comes in below 511, email your official AAMC score report to rampupmcat@gmail.com within 60 days of your score release. A score of 511 or higher is outside the guarantee — at that point it did its job. Each claim is reviewed individually against the conditions in this section; approved claims are refunded 100% of subscription fees paid, to your original payment method, normally within 14 days. One claim per person; the guarantee applies to your first RampUp subscription and covers subscription fees only.
This guarantee is a refund commitment, not a promise of any particular score. Purchases made through Apple are refunded by us directly if Apple declines the refund, so the guarantee holds on both platforms.
RampUp previously sold individual practice exams and a one-time “Pro” unlock. Anything you bought under that pricing remains yours permanently and is not affected by, and does not require, a subscription.
We sometimes issue access codes that grant a time-limited subscription. A code is personal to you, may be withdrawn if it is shared or published, and grants access for the stated period only. A code is not a purchase and carries no refund value.
RampUp uses a passwordless email account. We send a one-time sign-in code to the email address you provide. Your account connects your active subscription, study progress, levels, streak, review state, bookmarks, exam scores and saved Rampy notes across your signed-in iPhone and web browsers.
RampUp also keeps a local copy of your progress so most study features continue to work offline. Clearing browser data or deleting the app removes that device's local copy, but signing back into the same account can restore the synced copy. Signing out stops syncing on that device and leaves its local progress in place.
Keep your email account secure and do not share sign-in codes. You are responsible for activity under your RampUp account. Use Delete account in Settings to remove the account and synced server copy. Deleting your RampUp account does not cancel an Apple or Stripe subscription; cancel billing separately as described in section 4.
Rampy is a tutor feature that uses a third-party AI model to explain questions you are working on. Its answers are grounded in RampUp's own written explanations, but AI output can still be wrong. Where Rampy and RampUp's written explanation disagree, the written explanation is authoritative. Do not rely on Rampy as a sole source of scientific or medical fact, and never as medical advice.
Rampy's network-based features require an internet connection. Practice, scoring, exams, concept lessons and narrated explanations do not.
RampUp's questions, explanations, lessons and recordings are our copyrighted work. You may use them for your own study. You may not copy, republish, resell, share, or redistribute them, in whole or in part, including into any question bank, shared document, or dataset used to train a model. You may not attempt to circumvent payment or access controls.
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of RampUp. If we discontinue a paid feature you are currently paying for, we will either replace it or stop billing you for it. We may change prices; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a renewal at a new price.
RampUp is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular content is accurate.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to RampUp is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
If these terms change, the updated version is posted at this URL with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use RampUp after that means you accept the change.
